Emart is selling Gayang branch building and land in southwestern Seoul to Hyundai Engineering and Construction-led consortium for $603 million. Its hypermarket will lease the building after the sale deal is completed in June. Hyundai consortium is to rebuild the site afterwards with a new building where Emart is to reopen the Gayang outlet. The new financing follows Emart’s acquisition of a baseball club, now named SSG Landers, from SK Telecom.
