Members of the group Korea Foundation for Environmental Movements hold a press conference in front of the Seoul office of the Korea Tourism Organization on Thursday to launch its second nationwide action campaign, titled “The ocean is not a trash can!”

The group began its campaign in front of the Seoul office of the Korea Tourism Organization with a press conference and a subsequent march. The group said it planned to organize rallies and other events at its chapters across the country, including one-person protests and press conferences.

The attendees at the press conference said, “Radioactive water, once dumped, can’t be taken back, and it will cause great damage to the fishing industry, whose livelihood depends on the ocean.”

The group’s first nationwide action campaign was held on April 28.
