District 93 Toastmasters (South Korea) is thrilled to announce the Toastmasters 2021 District 93 Conference BEYOND. The theme ‘Beyond’ is designed to provide members and non-members alike a chance to participate in engaging, practical, and interactive sessions, shedding lights on their skill sets “beyond” in the process. This conference will be held online from the 23rd to the 25th of April with free registration to invite people from all walks of life to set off on the auspicious journey into Toastmasters.

This ‘Beyond’ conference will include keynote speeches, educational workshops, International and Korean speech contests and other various programs. District 93 Toastmasters is humbled and honoured to announce the keynote speaker Daniel Rex, CEO of Toastmasters International. Rex has worked for Toastmasters since 1990. In 2008, he assumed the role of Executive Director, a title that was changed to Chief Executive Officer in 2013. His keynote speeches will focus on the leadership required to motivate ourselves and continue to grow in these unexpected and challenging times. This year’s Conference Chair, Scott Kines, is especially delighted to host Mr. Rex: “He is a powerful motivator and could have been the keynote speaker for any of the 100 plus districts in our organization but thankfully chose ours.”

Educational workshops will center on communication, personal growth, the Toastmasters experience and more so participants can choose the best one to suit their development needs. The highlight of the conference will be the District International and Korean speech contests. In Korea, District 93 is composed of four divisions, so the top two speech finalists from each division will compete in the district final, made up of eight total competitors in each contest.

The national champion of the International speech contest will participate in the Region 14 speech contest where he/she will compete with winners from other countries such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines and Taiwan. These exciting speech contests will be held on the 24th (Korean) and the 25th (International).

Matthew Harris-Williams, the conference Public-Relations Chair said, “This conference is a golden opportunity for members of Toastmaster clubs to go BEYOND their usual comfort zones. In addition, for those who are new, to dive into the enthralling world of Toastmasters and enjoy the spirit of celebration and community.”

Free registration is available by the 21st of April on the conference official website www.d93conference.org.
