U.S. Verizon, France’s Orange and China-based Chunghwa Telecom became the latest to come onboard the Global XR Content Telco Alliance, networking on extended reality (XR) contents led by Korea’s LG Uplus. The XR alliance will select contents to be produced through regular meetings of 10 members and contribute to cost-effectiveness and technological maturity. XR refers to a set of new technology that enables virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.
