Boy band SHINee’s new album “Don’t Call Me” topped iTunes Top Album charts in 45 regions including the United States, Britain, Germany, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore, its agency SM Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

The band’s seventh full-length album was released on Monday and immediately reached number one on iTunes Top Album charts around the world.

It also topped the digital album sales charts on China’s music streaming services QQ Music and Kuwo Music, as well as Line Music’s top 100 albums chart in Japan. It was also number one on the daily album sales charts of Korean retailers Synnara Record, Yes 24 and Kyobo Book Centre.

“Don’t Call Me” is the band’s first release since September 2018, after a hiatus caused by the four members’ enlisting for their mandatory military service.

“Since it’s our first album in two-and-a-half years and also a full-length album, we wanted it to pack a punch rather than focusing on trendiness,” said the members during an online press conference on Monday. “We wanted to show that ‘we’ve still got it; we can do it.’”

SHINee debuted in 2008, originally as a five-member group, with the song “Replay” and released hits such as “Ring Ding Dong” (2009), “Lucifer” (2010) and “Sherlock (Clue + Note)” (2012).
