SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will be nominated as the sole candidate for new chief of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) next week before he is officially elected in March. It marks the first time for a leader of one of the country’s top four conglomerates to head the major business organization. He will succeed Park Yong-maan, former chairman of Doosan Group, who has led KCCI since 2013.
