Moon holds phone talks with Xi ahead of phone dialogue with Biden

China fully backs South Korea’s efforts to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, Chinese President Xi Jinping told his counterpart Moon Jae-in during a phone conversation on Tuesday as the two coordinated their stance on North Korea ahead of Moon’s first phone dialogue with new U.S. President Joe Biden who indicated changes in the North Korean policy of the Trump administration.

Moon also told Xi that he hopes the two countries put out efforts to hold a trilateral summit with Japan in near future to which Xi agreed.
