10th Anniversary of the 11 February 2011 uprising in Egypt

The 42 years old Cairo born activist took part in the Egypt uprising protests from the first day on 25 January 2011, and stayed in the initial 18 days movement that led to the departure of the then president Hosni Mubarak, then the years after that through political turmoil, elections and changes as a general coordinator for one of the some 46 revolutionary groups which ended up winning four seats in the first post-uprising parliament and in other political groups in different capacities. In 2015 he established a social media company "Journas" aiming at supporting freedom of expression in the Arab world, one year later he left Egypt due to security concerns and moved to France in 2017 where he continues working on Human Rights issues in the Arab World.
