The Korea Press Photographers Association (KPPA) gave two of its monthly press coverage awards to the Hankyoreh’s Park Jong-shik. The first image shows two photos superimposed onto each other. Using a light painting technique, Park overlaid an image of a past New Year’s celebration in front of Seoul’s Bosingak Belfry, filled with revelers, onto an image of streets emptied out by the pandemic. The theme of the photo was “We hope to see you again.” The second image shows a worker exploited by unfair labor laws.
