President Moon Jae-in elaborates his last-year policy agenda in the first-ever livestreamed virtual press conference amid Covid-19 environment. On the most anticipated issue of presidential pardon of the two imprisoned presidents Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak, he said although he agrees to the reasoning of the pardon for the aged former presidents, he thinks the “timing” is not right since the final court ruling on Park came only last week and when the time comes, the pardon must have “public consensus.” The conference also attempted the first-ever Q&A in a live chat format. He assured vaccination won’t be any slower than any other countries by rolling out incrementally from February to September to achieve collective immunity later in the year.
