A minke whale was found dead in the fishing nets of a boat off the coast of Gangwon Province, South Korea on Wednesday. The boat captain was given a permit to dispose of the whale as there were no signs of illegal capture, according to police investigation. The whale, weighing 0.6 tons and nearly 4 meters long, was sold for 25 million won ($23,000).
