Samsung Elec's Z Flip wins 2020 Nikkei products award

Samsung Electronics Co.’s clamshell-designed foldable phone Galaxy Z Flip has been named one of the winners of the 2020 Nikkei Superior Products and Services Awards on Monday. Nikkei said Samsung “has breathed new life into smartphone design, which has hardly changed since Apple’s debut in 2007,” and attributed the innovation to the company’s “technical expertise in OLED panels.” Nikkei annually picks outstanding products and services of the year and it is unusual for the Japanese media organization to name foreign firms as winners.
