Hyosung TNC Corp., a textile and trading firm under South Korea conglomerate Hyosung Group, is targeting the sportswear market in the United States with its new spandex yarn.

Hyosung TNC said Tuesday it showcases its new functional spandex fiber with high power “creora ActiFit” at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market running on June 18-20 in Denver, the U.S.

The new creora ActiFit features long-lasting durability, UV and chlorine resistance, and superior resilience in tough conditions, making it ideal wear for endurance sports such as cycling, swimming, triathlon and adventure racing, the company added.

A collection of other multi-functional fabrics from the company was also introduced during the exhibition, together with eco-friendly fibers like recycled polyester fiber “regen” and recycled nylon yarn “MIPAN regen.”

“Today’s customers want sustainable products with better quality and designs. We will continue efforts to meet customer demand to lead the global spandex yarn market and further the multi-functional apparel market,” said Cho Hyun-joon, chairman of Hyosung Group.

Outdoor Retailer Summer Market is North America’s largest tradeshow in the outdoor industry. The global exhibition is all about face-to-face—where products are shown, orders are written, new accounts are found, connections are made and brands are launched.
