AngloGold Ashanti said they made a 2018 first-half profit after costs declined and output rose with the world's third-largest gold producer preparing for a change in leadership. Full-year production is now expected at the higher than forecast. The company said they had a strong first half of 2018 with production from retained operations up 4 per cent year-on-year, while adjusted EBITDA was up 10 per cent 723 million USD compared with half-year 2017.
