Prostheses made with a 3D printer

Dr. Zagel and a team of researchers from the university want to utilize 3D printers to create prostheses to aid people with disabilities, specifically people in developing countries with disabilities. An estimated 80 percent of people with disabilities live in developing countries, and the team wants to collaborate with doctors in developing countries who could use the cameras on their cellular phones to help them make customized prostheses.
