Clowns gathered at the church to attend the 65th annual Joseph Grimaldi memorial service which has been held in the most celebrated English clown's honour since 1946. The unique church service is held on the first Sunday of each February and a wreath is laid in Grimaldi's honour. The renown clown lived from 1778-1837.
