A pro-Kurdish party (BDP) on 23 September brought its boycott of Turkey's parliament to an end after four months as its lawmakers joined the legislative body to take their oath to assume office. They had been holding the boycott to press for the release of pro-Kurdish legislators. Thirty BDP legislators will take their oath in the 550-seat parliament which reconvened following the summer break.
