South Korean software developer Hancom Inc. achieved its highest-ever earnings in 2025, driven by its transition to an artificial intelligence (AI)-centered business structure.

According to a regulatory filing on Monday, Hancom reported standalone revenue of 175.3 billion won ($121.23 million) for 2025, up 10.2 percent from the previous year. Its operating profit rose 2.4 percent to 50.9 billion won.

It marks a third consecutive year of growth and new all-time highs.

On a consolidated basis, revenue climbed 7.2 percent to 326.7 billion won, but operating profit fell 9.7 percent to 36.4 billion won.

The company said the result reflected increased technology investment and business restructuring tied to its AI transformation strategy.

The results were underpinned by a shift in Hancom’s revenue structure.

The company moved away from one off packaged software sales and adopted an AI optimized license model, under which fees are based on AI usage or company size. As customers transitioned from one-time buyers to long term service users, recurring revenue strengthened.

AI agent products centered on Hancom Assistant gained traction in public sector and financial industry workplaces, helping establish a stable revenue base.

Growing demand for automating document creation, analysis, summarization, and search has led to a sharp increase in actual AI usage.

Improvements in data technology also supported performance.

Hancom secured optimization technology that converts unstructured document data into AI training data, allowing it to move early in the market.

This year, the company plans to focus on an AI orchestration strategy, aiming to position itself as an intelligent hub that links global technology platforms and coordinates collaboration among different AI systems. It is pursuing a micro agent strategy that combines small AI modules tailored to specific tasks, along with a model integration framework that allows AI agents to be deployed immediately.

“Hancom aims to emerge as a leading orchestration company that enables AI to operate most efficiently across global platforms,” said Chief Executive Officer Kim Yeon-su.
