[News Today] Airlines to ban inflight power banks

Five airlines affiliated with Hanjin Group have banned the inflight use of power banks or portable chargers.

Korean Air said the ban will take effect from Monday on domestic and international flights of Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul.

The aviation industry has been stepping up related regulations over increasing fire incidents in the cabin involving power banks.
