Gasoline, diesel prices fall for sixth straight week

Gasoline and diesel prices at South Korean gas stations declined for a sixth consecutive week, as falling global oil prices outweighed the impact of a weaker won.

On Sunday, motorists refueled their vehicles at a gas station at Manam Plaza on the Gyeongbu Line. According to Opinet, the fuel price information system operated by the Korea National Oil Corporation, the nationwide average retail price of gasoline for the second week of January (Jan. 11–15) fell by 14.5 won from the previous week to 1,706.3 won ($1.16) per liter.
