Mercedes-Benz designates Korea as Asia-Pacific supply chain hub

German automaker Mercedes-Benz has designated South Korea as a key hub for supply chain collaboration across major Asian markets.

The automaker announced on Wednesday that it will establish an Asia-Pacific purchasing and supplier quality management unit in Seoul.

The new unit will operate under Mercedes-Benz’s global purchasing and supplier quality control division and will oversee procurement and supplier activities across the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on Seoul and Tokyo.

Mercedes-Benz said the Seoul-based organization will also act as a strategic link between its global headquarters and regional operations, helping coordinate sourcing, quality control, and supplier collaboration across Asia.
