[LEAD]
President Lee Jae Myung is to soon hold a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The Presidential Office says one of the key outcomes expected from the summit is the stable management of sensitive issues with China.

Meanwhile, President Lee attended an economic forum with Korea's top business leaders this early afternoon.

[REPORT]
President Lee Jae Myung has made a state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

At Beijing Capital International Airport, President Lee was welcomed by Yin Hejun, China’s minister of science and technology.

Cheong Wa Dae assessed that China showed determination to restore and consolidate ties with Korea by sending a ministerial-level official to greet Lee upon arrival.

President Lee began his official schedule in China with a meeting with Korean expatriates living there.

I'll do my best to keep the positive atmosphere going, continue to strengthen communication and cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and consideration between the two countries.

On Monday, after attending an official welcome ceremony, Lee will hold a summit with the Chinese president and sign multiple memoranda of understanding in the economic and industrial sectors.

Economy and peace are inseparable. Korea and China have a shared goal of bringing peace and stability to the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

Their first summit held last November was focused on restoring bilateral relations.

It is highly likely that Monday's summit will address sensitive issues like China's deployment of structures in the West Sea and Taiwan.

Cheong Wa Dae explained that managing such sensitive issues with China in a stable manner is one of the results it expects to achieve through this state visit.

The two leaders are also predicted to discuss peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula as well as the security situation in Northeast Asia.

On this visit to China, President Lee was accompanied by a large delegation of more than 200 businesspeople.

On Monday, Lee discussed ways to expand bilateral economic cooperation at a business forum attended by Korean and Chinese business figures, including heads of Korea's top five business groups.
