President Lee Jae Myung laid out his roadmap for the second year of his administration.

In his New Year's address, he called for a shift away from capital-centered growth toward development led by the regions.

He also stressed a new growth model grounded in safety and driven by culture, while underscoring peace as a foundation for stability.

President Lee Jae Myung's first public schedule in the New Year was visiting the Seoul National Cemetery with his advisors and cabinet members.

He placed flowers and burned incense as he offered a silent prayer for patriots.

On the guest book, the president wrote, "I will open a world where people live together and the first year of Korea's great leap forward with the people of Korea."

In his New Year's address, President Lee presented a roadmap for his second year in office.

The goals of the people's sovereign government are clear for the New Year.
We will achieve extensive leaps forward and growth in all areas.

He said the growth strategy of selecting and concentrating on a few areas has shown its limitations and presented five transformation principles to change the nation's growth paradigm.

Those principles include transitioning from metropolitan-centered growth to growth led by regions outside the capital and from conglomerate-centered growth to growth enjoyed by all.

We will eradicate expediencies and unfairness remaining in various areas of society and build a society free of cheating and special privileges.

He also unveiled visions for sustainable growth grounded in safety, growth led by culture, and stable growth backed by peace.

This year, I will again actively support U.S.–North Korea dialogue as a pacemaker and seek ways to restore inter-Korean relations.

The words that appeared most frequently in his New Year's address were "growth" and "people."

The president also mentioned the economy, leap forward, and enterprises more than ten times.
