South Korean internet giant Naver Corp. is set to launch an extended reality (XR) content platform by the end of 2025, signaling its full-fledged entry into the XR device content market.

“We plan to launch an Android-based XR content platform within the year so that users can also experience Naver content on XR devices,” Oh Han-ki, head of Naver’s real-time engine studio, said. “As XR devices such as smart glasses become more mainstream, Naver will be able to rapidly expand the computing experiences it already offers.”

Oh’s remarks were made during the Immersive Media Platform Tech Forum held on Wednesday at Naver’s Green Factory in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

The platform will primarily feature content from Naver’s streaming platform, CHZZK, as well as games, K-pop, and virtual artist content. Naver is participating as a content partner in Samsung Electronics’ XR headset, Project Moohan, and plans to extend the platform to future smart glasses.

The expansion of Naver’s video content ecosystem is also gaining momentum, with the company planning to unveil Auto Clip AI, a tool that automatically converts text content into videos, this year.

“Naver has an enormous amount of text data from shopping reviews, place reviews, blog posts, and more,” Kim Sung-ho, head of Naver’s Immersive Media Platform, said. “Auto Clip AI analyzes this data and automatically generates video content.”

When a blog URL is inputted, for example, the AI can analyze the text and images to generate a video.

Naver also plans to release a new platform called MUAi, which understands video context, this year, which will feature Auto Chapter technology that automatically segments videos and adds descriptions. This will help deliver key content more effectively in long-form videos like live shopping streams.

Naver also shared its recent achievements in immersive media content at the forum.

Following the launch of Vision Stage, a studio that supports virtual background filming, in 2024, Naver opened Motion Stage in March 2025 - a space specialized in 3D content production. A wide range of creators are currently using this space to produce content for CHZZK and Clip.
