Lotte E&C develops built-in dehumidifier for residential units

Lotte Engineering & Construction Co. has developed a built-in dehumidifier and air purifier for wardrobes in residential units, in collaboration with dehumidification specialist Humaster.

The company announced on Tuesday that the dehumidifier uses a desiccant method to pass humid air through a moisture filter made from special materials, heating it to supply dry air.

This technology offers superior dehumidification performance compared to existing products.

The unit also includes mold prevention, deodorizing, and antibacterial functions. With built-in light emitting diode (LED) lights, the dehumidifier can be seamlessly installed in the wardrobe ceiling without the need for additional lighting.

Lotte E&C has completed the Korea Certification (KC) process and obtained a test certificate from the Energy Certification Laboratory, a recognized energy efficiency testing organization.

The company plans to install the dehumidifier to its new residential facilities.
