As dining-out costs soar, convenience stores in South Korea are introducing a series of unique, high-value meal options to satisfy budget-conscious consumers.

According to industry sources on Sunday, CU will launch three new lunch boxes under its Overwhelming Meal Series: Chicken Mayo, Bassak Bulgogi, and Sausage & Kimchi Set, all priced in the 5,000 won range each.

The store emphasizes that these meals feature substantial main toppings placed over rice, aiming to captivate both the eyes and taste buds of consumers. The Overwhelming Meal Series, which boasts maximum size, weight, and quality, now includes 16 different items such as lunch boxes, kimbap, triangular kimbap, salads, and dessert sandwiches.

Another convenience store chain 7-Eleven is collaborating with actor Lee Jang-woo to introduce the kimbap.

This new range features toppings that are up to twice as large as those in existing products, with three varieties to be released sequentially.
