Lotte Group kicked off its annual flagship shopping event, the ‘Lotte Red Festival,’ as it aims to secure customer loyalty by offering extensive discounts and benefits.

Lotte is committed to boosting consumption as well as increasing sales during the shopping off-season between May and the summer vacation season by hosting a large-scale discount event throughout June 2024.

On Monday, Lotte announced the commencement of the ‘2024 First-Half Lotte Red Festival,’ which will run for 11 days from May 30th, 2024 to June 9th. Compared to the 2023 edition, which involved 11 Lotte companies, 2024’s event will feature 16 Lotte companies including Lotte Hotel, Lotte World, and Lotte Foundation for Arts to offer comprehensive benefits across travel, tourism, culture, and sports.

The 2024 festival will also showcase a wide array of products, including seasonal fresh produce, fashion, beauty, and home appliances, at discounts of up to 50 percent. Of note are the discounts on fresh food items and private-label products amid the current high inflationary environment.

Lotte Mart and Lotte Super will offer Australian grain-fed beef chuck eye roll at a maximum discount of 50 percent until June 5th, 2024. Watermelon prices, which have surged due to recent decreases in supply, will hit their lowest point of the year during the festival. Additionally, the ‘Red Item Festival’ will feature over 50 Lotte signature red products, including American cherries (450g pack), Gangwon Province tomatoes (3kg pack), and 50 varieties of red wine, all offered at discounted prices.

Accounting for the increase in outdoor activity, Lotte Mart will offer discounts of up to 40 percent on vacation assortment packs, including Grade 1 Hanwoo for grilling, and ‘Big Chicken’ fried chicken.

Seven Eleven will sell seven varieties of private label ‘Seven Select’ products and five varieties of ‘Lee Jangwoo Lunch Box’ at discounts of up to 50 percent starting in June. Ten varieties of red wine, including Australian vintage wines ‘Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy’ (750ml) and ‘Mollydooker Enchanted Path’ (750ml), will also be on offer at affordable prices.

Lotte Department Store will offer an immediate discount of 10,000 won for purchases of over 50,000 won on 11 best-selling beauty brands from May 30th, 2024, until June 9th. Customers will also receive up to 7.5 percent in additional gifts based on their purchase amount. Lotte Outlet will begin its ‘Surprise Week’ from May 31st, which will provide a maximum additional discount of 30 percent on top of outlet prices across all stores for over 500 brands.

Lotte Hi-Mart will offer immediate discounts of up to 200,000 won on air conditioners as the summer season approaches. Prices of seasonal home appliances, including air conditioners, electric fans, and refrigerators, will be reduced by up to 25 percent and accompanied by care services.
