aespa fans will now have an easy way to listen to K-pop albums physically — the girl group’s special “Armageddon” album includes a CD player.
A special “CDP version” of the upcoming “Armageddon” album will be released on July 19, a month after its first full-length album “Armageddon” drops Monday.
The design of the CD player was inspired by the highlight medley teaser of “Armageddon,” released May 10.
“The [inclusion of a CD player] shows the confidence in the album,” the agency said. “It will provide an experience where fans can physically own and listen to music.”
The album will also include five photocards and 10 stickers, the latter inspired by the highlight medley teaser.
Preorders for the special album began Friday. The album was sold out as of Friday afternoon.
aespa prereleased “Supernova” on May 13. “Supernova” topped Thursday’s “M Countdown” weekly music show, and the song also landed No. 1 on Melon, Bugs, Flo and Genie’s real-time and daily chart.
