Girl group cignature will release its fifth EP, "Sweetie but Saltie," on June 10.
The title of the EP, “Sweetie but Saltie,” is a “wordplay on the ambiguous nature of relationships,” and “the album will include songs about sweet and salty love,” said its agency, C9 Entertainment, on Friday.
“Sweetie but Saltie” is cignature's first new album in 10 months. It released its third EP, “My Little Aurora,” in January last year and its fourth EP, “Us in the Summer,” in August.
cignature is a seven-member girl group — Chaesol, Jeewon, Seline, Chloe, Belle, Semi and Dohee — that debuted in February 2020 with the single “Nun Nu Nan Na.” Member Belle joined SBS's girl group audition program "Universe Ticket" (2023) with her real name Jin Hyun-ju. She landed No. 6 on the show, debuting as a member of project girl group UNIS on March 27 with its EP "We Unis." cignature has been performing as a group of six since the release of "Us in the Summer."
