CEO of HYBE subsidiary ADOR, Min Hee-jin, filed for an injunction to stop HYBE from exercising its rights as the 80-percent owner of ADOR during the shareholders' meeting scheduled later this month.
Shin & Kim, Min's legal representation, said Tuesday that the producer filed for the injunction at the Seoul Central District Court to nullify HYBE's rights as the 80-percent shareholder of ADOR when it holds its shareholders' meeting.
ADOR will be holding a board meeting on Friday at 9 a.m. and a shareholders' meeting is scheduled to take place between May 27 and 30, according to industry insiders.
"HYBE has requested an extraordinary shareholders' meeting to fire Min Hee-jin, CEO and board member of ADOR, which is a violation of the shareholders' contract between Min and HYBE," the law firm said in a press release.
"Min Hee-jin contends that HYBE's argument regarding breach of trust by Min makes no sense, which is why she resulted in filing for the injunction in order to protect the corporate value of ADOR and its artists."
Meanwhile, police said on Tuesday that it will "conduct a speedy and thorough investigation" on Min.
HYBE, the 80-percent owner of girl group NewJeans' agency ADOR, reported Min to the police for breach of trust on April 25 after gathering "specific evidence that the ADOR CEO has led a move to seize management of the company," according to a press release.
