Canadian Army Trophy tank trials held in Larvia

The 'CAT 24' competition was held this year with crews from tank and combat vehicle units of Italy, Canada, Great Britain, Norway, Poland, Spain, and Germany. The exerciseÊaimed to work on unit tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as sharing experiences to strengthen the integration and firepower of NATO allies. The competition was previously part of the 'Iron Spear' military exercise but has now regained its historical name. The winners of the competition will be awarded a special trophy. Canada leads NATO's extended presence battle group in Latvia, which currently consists of more than 1,900 soldiers from Albania, Canada, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain who serve alongside domestic armed forces on a rotating basis.
