Crown Confectionery opens new Asan snack production base

Crown Confectionery recently completed a new snack production base that will specialize in flagship snack products such as Jolly Pong and Corn Chip in Asan, Chungnam, after 36 years.

The company held a completion ceremony on Tuesday for the “New Asan Factory” in Eumbong-myeon, Asan-si, Chungnam, and began operating the plant. The new production base, replacing the existing Asan Factory, is an environmentally friendly snack-specialized factory equipped with the latest production technology and logistics automation systems, with a maximum annual production capacity equivalent to 240 billion won ($175 million).

“This will be a starting point for our path to the global market,” Crown-Haitai CEO Yoon Young-dal said.
