The Supreme Court on Thursday finalized a 13-year prison sentence for an elementary school teacher on charges of producing sexually exploitative videos involving some 120 children and adolescents.
The teacher was charged with producing about 1,900 sexually exploitative videos from 2015 to 2021 by ordering children and adolescents to film themselves engaging in obscene acts. He kept the videos in his possession.
He has been teaching at an elementary school since 2012.
About 120 people were victims.
The teacher contacted the victims through messenger apps. He met some of the victims in person and engaged in obscene acts with them.
The Supreme Court upheld the lower court's 13-year prison sentence for the teacher, along with orders to ban him from working for institutions serving adolescents for 10 years and require him to undergo 80 hours of education programs for sexual offenders.
