The Polestar 4 will make its Korean debut in June as the fastest Polestar produced so far.

The pure electric SUV will be the second Polestar EV to be launched in Korea after the Polestar 2.

Deliveries are scheduled to start in October, Polestar Korea said Friday.

With a length of almost 16 feet, a width of 7 feet and a height of 5 feet, the Polestar 4 is bigger than the Polestar 2 but comes in a coupe style with a sharper body.

As the world's first mass-market car to have no rear window, the vehicle has a particularly smooth roof line and a glass panel that stretches above the occupants' heads while making room for "extremely spacious" reclining rear seats in the interior, Polestar said.

It is the fastest Polestar in existence and can go from zero to 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour in only 3.8 seconds. It generates a maximum of 544 horsepower.

Powered by a 100 kilowatt-hour, lithium-ion battery, the Polestar 4 can travel up to 610 kilometers in a single charge, according to Europe's WLTP standards. Its Korea-certified range has not been declared yet.

The Polestar 4 EV will also be manufactured at Renault Korea's Busan plant starting in 2025, becoming the first fully electric car from an overseas brand to be made in Korea. A portion of the production will be sold locally, and the remainder will be exported to North America.

Polestar is a joint venture established in 2017 between Volvo Cars and its Zhejiang, China-based parent company Geely Holding.
