Aekyung sees U.S. household goods business grow by 82%

South Korea’s Aekyung Industrial Co. announced on Wednesday that its household goods business in the U.S. market grew by 82 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year.

Aekyung Industrial entered the U.S. offline market in 2020 by signing a contract with the TJX Companies, Inc., a large-scale retailer in the United States, to supply household product brands such as Shower Mate and Kerasys.

The TJX Companies operates more than 2,600 stores in the United States.

Aekyung Industrial also started selling household products on U.S. e-commerce platform Amazon.com in 2024 as its Shower Mate body wash and other body care products gain popularity in the U.S. market.

The company plans to continue exploring new offline distribution channels.

“We aim to diversify our sales structure by selecting premium hair care brand Kerasys as well as body care products as our key items for growth,” an Aekyung Industrial official said.
