GS Shop sees sales surge after collaboration with Manyo skincare brand

GS Shop Co. has seen its sales soar sharply following its collaboration with Manyo Factory Co., a functional skincare brand in South Korea.

According to GS Shop on Monday, its sales surged by 160 percent and 110 percent from the average sales during the same period when it sold items of Manyo Factory earlier this month.

GS Shop signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Manyo Factory on March 8 on joint marketing and joint product planning and exclusive launches.

As part of the collaboration, GS Shop aired two launch broadcasts for the Galactomy Melacore Essence on March 16 and 24.

While TV home shopping channels typically cater to customers in their 40s to 60s, Manyo Factory products on the air witnessed a shift, with those aged from 30s to 50s accounting for 90 percent of the entire orders.

Last month, GS Shop made strides in other brand offerings, such as Chor Authentic, its fashion brand, while racking up an impressive 30,000 orders during its debut broadcast.

LAPLI, a clothing brand that aired on Thursday, saw a sell-out within five minutes of its broadcast, with 10,000 orders.
