Lotte Mart has introduced 11 products from Picard, a French frozen food brand, in its branches.
The products include butter croissants, chocolate butter cake, truffle tagliatelle pasta and frozen potatoes. The Korean supermarket chain operator emphasizes that competitive pricing will be maintained by sourcing directly from Picard suppliers.
These Picard products are exclusively available offline in 30 select Lotte Mart stores, including locations like Zettaplex Jamsil and Seocho.
"In addition to these 11 products, we plan to expand our offerings to include items like escargot and ratatouille, while also continuing to expand our sales locations," said a Lotte Mart source.
Picard offers a diverse range of frozen food products, encompassing traditional French dishes such as escargots and coq au vin, along with various fruits, vegetables, and desserts. It holds approximately 20 percent of the market share in the French frozen food distribution sector, according to Lotte Mart.
In Korea, Market Kurly has been selling Picard products online since December 2022.
