Reports on 02 July 2019 state the herbicide glyphosate has been banned in Austria as first country in the European Union after a decision made by majority in the National Council. According to the International Agency for Cancer Research of the World Health Organization (WHO), the herbicide glyphosate is considered 'probably carcinogenic' in humans.
