Japanese originals remade as Korean movies
Many Japanese original works have been remade as Korean films attracting moviegoers in South Korea.
The melodrama movie "Now I Will Meet You" which was released on March 14th in Korea is a remake of a 2004 Japanese film.
The film topped the local box office by attracting a total of 880,000 viewers during the first weekend after its release.
"Now I Will Meet You" has been sold to 17 countries in America, Europe and Southeast Asia.
The movie is set to premiere in Taiwan on March 30th, in Vietnam on April 6th and in Singapore on April 12th.

"Little Forest" which was released on February 28th is also a remake adapted from a Japanese cartoon-turned-movie. It has sold more than 1.35 million admissions.
The movie sees a city girl in her 20s returning to her hometown in the countryside, where she heals her emotional wounds.

Another movie "Golden Slumber", released on February 14, is also based on a Japanese novel, starring Kang Dong-Won as a package deliveryman who becomes falsely accused of assassinating a presidential candidate.
