(뮌헨 2015년 1월 12일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) ITM Group의 계열사인 Isotope Technologies Garching GmbH가 자사의 의약품 등급 Ge-68/Ga-68발전기에 대해 제조 승인을 획득했다고 발표했다. 오버바이에른 지역 정부는 작년 12월 이 승인을 발행하고, ITG가 빠른 속도로 성장하고 있는 PET(positron emission tomography) 스캔 시장에 시중 유일의 무금속 갈륨-68 발전기를 공급할 수 있도록 승인했다.

혁신적인 갈륨-68 플랫폼

갈륨-68 표지 추적자를 바탕으로 하는 PET 이미징은 종양과 전이 병소의 위치를 정확하게 파악하는 우수한 방법으로 입증됐다. 병원 내 사이클로트론을 요하는 방사선 표지 플루오르-18 같이 비용이 많이 드는 대안과 비교했을 때, 갈륨-68은 Ge-68/Ga-68 발전기로부터 편리하게 분리할 수 있으며, 공략 분자를 가지고 방사선 표지에 직접 사용할 수 있다. 그뿐만 아니라 오토클레이브 처리된 itG Ge-68/Ga-68 발전기는 가장 높은 안전 기준에 따라 살균 용리제를 제공한다.

Isotope Technologies Garching Received Manufacturing Authorization for Ga-68 Generator

MUNICH, January 12, 2015/PRNewswire/ -- ITM Group affiliate Isotope Technologies Garching GmbH is proud to announce that it obtained the manufacturing authorization for its pharmaceutical grade Ge-68/Ga-68 Generator. The approval by the regional government of Upper Bavaria came in December 2014, allowing ITG to provide the only metal-free Gallium-68 Generator to a fast growing market of positron emission tomography (PET) scan procedures.

Innovative Gallium-68 platform

PET imaging with Gallium-68 labeled tracers has proven to be a superior method for precise localization of tumors and metastatic lesions. Compared to cost expensive alternatives such as radiolabeled Fluor-18 which requires an in-hospital cyclotron, Gallium-68 can be conveniently eluted from the Ge-68/Ga-68 Generator and directly utilized for the radiolabeling with target molecules. What is more, the autoclaved itG Ge-68/Ga-68 Generator provides a sterile eluent in order set highest safety standards.

In fact, the novel GMP compliant Ge-68/Ga-68 Generator is part of ITG's overall business strategy to establish a solid Gallium-68 platform.
