We are pleased to announce that Kyunghyang Shinmun, a prestigious source of news, opinions, entertainment, and community and digital information in Korea, is launching KPOPPlanet, a professional Korean pop (K-pop) website providing a lively mix of real-time K-pop news, exclusive interviews, opinions, and profiles of K-pop artists.

KPOPPlanet provides in-depth vibrant news upclose for K-pop fans from all over the world. Not only will there be K-pop breaking news, but there will also be original reporting, fantastic scoops, K-pop trend analyses, and breathtaking photos. A distinguished feature of KPOPPlanet is the exclusive interviews of popular K-pop artists that will be updated in real time.

The site offers a large collection of high definition photographs divided by themes, live feeds of K-pop idol's Social media accounts, a calender marking major events, popular music videos, an index of over 400 K-pop artists, and more. There will even be various events, such as distributing signed CDs from popular artists.

We also present two Social media accounts, Facebook (/kpopplanetnews) and Tumblr (kpopplanetnews.tumblr.com), notifying major events updated on KPOPPlanet, and to use to communicate with K-pop fans on whether who they would like our reporters to interview and more.
