The Blobfish
This little guy looks more like a cartoon character than a fish. The Blob fish has very few muscles and move very slowly, floating like a jelly fish. To eat, the Blob fish waits on the bottom of the ocean for prey to pass by. (Science Discovery.com)

The Star Nosed Mole
A resident of the North America, this mole makes up for his poor eyesight with a hairless nose that is a 'star' of 22 fleshy tentacles. The tentacles are extremely sensitive, they can even sense electricity! (AP)

Frill Shark

Vundu Catfish
The vundu catfish is the biggest freshwater species in Africa and can survive out of water for a long period of time. This spikey fish is long and muscular and can weigh over 100 lbs.

The Chinese Crested Dog
Miss Ellie, crowned Animal Planet's 'World's Ugliest Dog' of 2009, has died at age 17 after a career in resort show business in the Smoky Mountains. With her bug eyes, pimples and lolling tongue, it's no wonder the Chinese Crested dog won the contest! In fact, Chinese Crested dogs swept the ugliest dog competition from 2002-2009. (AP)

The Sloth
Sloths move very slowly and only when absolutely necessary. Their fur is a jungle in and of itself; Sloth fur plays host to two different kinds of moss. The moss gives the sloth an ugly coat but provides camouflage. (AP)

The Yeti Crab
This crazy crustacean gets its name from the abominable snowman for its hairy arms. You don't have to worry about running into this crab though: they are found around 8,000 feet deep in the Pacific ocean. (AP)

The Hag fish
The name suits this ugly fish. The hagfish has 4 hearts and 2 brains. Grosser still, the fish produces a large amount of slime when held or captured. The hag fish can produce 20 liters of slime in a matter of minutes. (AP)

Pabst, a 4-year-old boxer mix wins the World's Ugliest Dog Contest finally taking the prize from the Chinese Crested Dogs. (AP)
