epa02113918 Supreme Court Judge, Mr. Pall Hreinsson, Parliamentary Ombudsman of Iceland, Mr. Tryggvi Gunnarsson with the Report of the Althingi Special Investigation Commission. Both are members of a Special Investigation Commission (SIC), which was established by Althingi, the Icelandic Parliament, in December 2008, to investigate and analyse the processes leading to the collapse of the three main banks in Iceland, deliver its report to the Icelandic Parliament, in Reykjav�k, Iceland on 12 April 2010. The SIC concluded that former Prime Minister Geir H. Haarde, Finance Minister Arni M. Mathiesen and Minister of Business Affairs Bjoergvin G. Sigurdsson were negligent. The authors of the report argued that the Icelandic government had ignored warning signals and not taken the actions necessary to fight the upcoming economic disaster. EPA/S.
