To offset increased raw material costs Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Sharp Corp. and other leading Japanese electronics manufacturers will raise prices for washing machines, refrigerators and other home appliances from this autumn, according to a Nikkei news report Thursday. Washing machines are expected to increase in price 10 percent, while refrigerators are expected to cost 3 to 5 percent more.
